Terms & Conditions

INTERPRETATION:

The words of which the initial letter is capitalized have meanings defined under the following conditions. The following definitions shall have the same meaning regardless of whether they appear in singular or in plural.

DEFINITIONS:

For the purposes of this Privacy Policy:

  • Code refers to the NEC (National Electrical Code) and any associated building and fire protection codes required by law.

  • Customer refers to the customer signing the document(s) and receiving the work.

  • Agreement means the contract that was signed and agreed upon before work was performed.

  • Company (referred to as either "the Company", "We", "Us" or "Our" in this Agreement) refers to The Honest Electrician LLC, 4950 South Yosemite Street, F2-191.

AGREEMENT:

This document establishes the entire agreement between The Honest Electrician, which shall be known as "COMPANY", and the Customer. No changes shall be made to this agreement without both parties consent and no verbal or oral promises made by any person will overrule this Agreement. If any additional work is requested an updated estimate will be required and signed by Customer.

PAYMENT:

Final payment is due upon completion of the work. A deposit of 50% of the invoice is required on totals $1000 and over. The deposit is due at signing before any work begins. Any payments not received on due dates will result in a lien and / or collection agencies being contacted. Any reasonable fees associated with payments past due will be forwarded to the Customer. Any costs from checks supplied by Customer that bounce will be forwarded to Customer. Any reasonable fees associated with bounced checks will be forwarded to the Customer.

CANCELLATION POLICY:

The Customer may cancel the Agreement for any reason within 3 business days of signing the Agreement, unless work has already begun. If work has already begun customer will pay for any reasonable expenses or work already performed by Company. Remaining balance after payment of begun work or full refund will be returned of any deposits made.

ADDITIONAL WORK:

The Customer is responsible for any additional work not specified by the Agreement, including, but not limited to, painting, drywall repair, and existing electrical wiring that is out of Code.

DISCLAIMERS:

The Company shall have no liability for any stolen or damaged material once it has been delivered to the jobsite. The Customer is responsible for these materials once delivered. Any existing damages or Code violations will be the Customers responsibility and will be of extra charge. If any failed inspection is due to our work or materials we will come back free of charge to fix these violations. If any failed inspection is due to areas we did not touch or perform any additional work will be extra charge. The Company will perform its best attempt at seeing potential violations before work begins and inform the Customer. The Company will perform its best attempt to communicate potential damages and repairs needed to complete the job.

WARRANTY:

There is a 2 year warranty on all labor and materials provided by the Company. Any materials provided by the Customer will have no warranty. If a problem arises within 2 years of work performed and it was the fault of the Company or provided materials by the Company there will be no extra charge. If discovered that problem has nothing to do with the Company there will be additional charges to repair and/or troubleshoot. If problem arises after 2 years of work performed it will be out of warranty and all and any requires labor and/or parts will be charged at full price.

COMMUNICATION:

This Agreement assumes the Customer allows the Company to communicate through email, direct mail, and phone. The Customer also allows the Company to take before and after photos and/or videos of the work areas. These photos/videos will not be distributed to the public without consent of the Customer. These photos are to be used internally within the Company to improve Customer experience and document existing problems or damages to property before we begin work.
